Sunday night witnessed the latest battle at the diamond. Ian Paisley traditionally speaks at the Diamond every July, however this year he faced opposition that ensured his speech could not be heard.
Mr Paisley arrived at the service surrounded by personal security and PSNI but did not leave his car until the service had commenced clearly hoping to avoid any protestors before the service. (Mrs Delila) Paisley remained in the car throughout the whole event. Thee woman who convinced him to enter government with the IRA was unwilling to face the public!
As Ian Paisley approached the mircophone a banner was unveiled in the middle of the 150 crowd. (The numbers had dramatically reduced since previous years, evidence of reducing support for the DUP. The crowd was largely made up of DUP political identities including David Samson former strong man of Portadown, James Tinsley, Edwin Poots, Willy Irwin, Stephen Moutray and other councillors) The banner read 'No Terrrorists in Government'. Immediately those protesting and holding the banner were attacked by members of the crowd. Six young men pulled at the banner and kicked those protesting in a vile attempt to remove the banner and the voice of victims of the IRA.
Police arrived on the scene and managed to stand between the two factions but the small hardcore of Paisley supporters continued shouting and when possible pushing at protestors. While those protesting did shout over Paisley they did not begin or maintain the physical pushing and kicking of which the Paisley supporters commenced.
While the Paisley hardcore claim that the service was to preach the gospel and that no protest should have occured the protestors can point to the physical assaults of the Paisley hardcore who attempted to derail a peaceful protest.
Those who once claimed to be the moral voice of Ulster have been exposed as they adopted the bully boy tactics of their comrades in the IRA to silence opposition.
One protestor stated: 'I went to participate in a peaceful protest. In the past I followed Dr. Paisley everywhere and was a staunch supporter. I feel betrayed and wanted him to see my hurt. Unfortunately his new supporters turned the protest into a brawl, their behaviour was disguisting. Nevertheless I am proud to have been their to stand against the lies of that man. He should not be preaching the gospel he has done more harm to it than any other man in Ulster!'
As Paisley left the stage the PSNI attempted to hold the crowd back from his car but protestors managed to get over a grass verge to the car where they continued to tackle Paisley, asking why he had betrayed them. Mrs (Delia) Paisley crudely gestured to the protestors as the car sped off.
Ian Paisley will next wonder into the public sphere on the 12th of July at the Independant Orange Platform. Those who invited him should be ashamed. Nevertheless it will permit the ordinary Independant Orangemen an opportunity to demonstrate against the great betrayer once again!

Disappointed in the Free Presbyterians that attacked the protest by pushing and kicking. They let their denomination down badly and should be ashamed of their behaviour.
The Free church was born out of protest they should remember that before assaulting those who reject murders in government.
V4D supporting a protest led by a pipebomb 'pastor'.
Such hypocrisy from so-called Christians.
They are the people who should be ashamed of themselves.
Next they'll be leaving death threats in elderly Cllr's gardens..... oh wait... they've already done that.
I noticed Big Ian and his mates never attacked his IRA mates.
This is why Mc Guinness refered to Paisley as "my good friend".
Scum thats the only name that describes the DUP/IRA/Paisley alliance.
I read the following on a victims poster recently
“Hundreds of Orangemen won’t be talking to Gerry Adams this twelfth, his comrades in SF/IRA seen to that, they murdered them!”
Remember the Victims of SF/IRA terrorism.
Shame on the DUPers and those who negotiate with our enemies
Hope those individuals who assaulted the protesters have been identified and we will see how brave they are when they are'nt able to hide behind the police.
They should be living with their IRA bedfellows not in the Protestant community.
If these scoundrels go anywhere near a 12th parade or try and wear a collarette they should be hounded.
True Loyalist:
the man you refer to was not part of the main protest get your facts straight.
Well done to those who protested and were brave enough to stand up for what they believe in even though they were outnumbered.
Shame on those who attacked those protesting! thought this was a democracy... oh thats rights its not because we have murders controlling government
Thank you indeed for a terrific report of our protest at The Diamond last night
You covered every aspect of it and it is deeply appreciated.
I have done a piece for my own site at ; http://forgodandulster.wordpress.com
What was the rude gesture that Mrs P made??????.
Surely the wife of the man 'to whom we owe our very souls' would not do anything rude.
Was the JAMES TINSLEY at the Diamond the JT THE MAYOR OF LISBURN and member of the Lisburn free p?
When for so many years, Dr Paisley was expounding the Gospel and upholding the Protedtant tenets he was villified, harrassed and percecuted by all and sundry including the British Government, the Dublin government American cacus and of course Sinn Fein/IRA.
But since he turned his coat and betrayed his country he has become
the darling of them all and every
other unclean bird forby.
Again I would warmly thank Voice 4 Democracy for the gallant position it has taken. Just like Elijah of old and the Fifties in caves, they have stood for God_____and Ulster
Joe Bloggs? Yes, former Mayor of Lisburn James Tinsley together with his charming wife Margaret were present. Last year she was very busy shoving her child buggy in to people's legs
I'm not sure how V4D can distance themselves from Pastor 'pipebomb' Peoples. Its clear he was there at the protest..... a terrorist protesting against terrorism - such irony.
Wasn't it Pastor Pipebomb's wife who chaired the V4D meeting in Portadown too???
Did you all have a noose in your pockets too? Or were they all left in someone's garden beforehand???
It appears that the NIO,one of Paisley's emmissaries or Whoever has blocked me when i post a story on my web site at:http://forgodandulster.wordpress.com
We had been particularly voiceferous in recent days and yesterday enjoyed 194 views; most of which dealt with The Diamond.
Jim
To all DUP anonymous posters;
You will do the anti-Terrocrat camp a great big favour if you continue to point fingers at Peoples.
Lambast him enough and he will probably go public regarding his "meetings" with Peter Punt, the Euro election would be a most suitable time for such an embarrassing disclosure.
One thing you have to admit, despite whether you love Peoples or loathe him, he can get the most incredible media coverage for some reason!
How ever with a bye-election coming up in Fermanagh you just never know do you? it might be a convenient time to sink Peter`s boat!
Bye the way, do all young DUP members go to Queens or are they Queens?
FROM: DIAMOND LOYALIIST I'm told that Ed Maloney writing in his recent biography of Dr. Paisley, stated that last year's protest at the Diamond Rally was a turning point. How true! No longer is he the leader of the DUP, Free Presbyterian Moderator nor First Minister!! Rather a seismic change. But I believe we can witness similar happenings within the various shades of 21st century Paisleyism well before another twelve months has elapsed
Here I would take the opportunity again to thank all of those who ensured the success of the vigil/protest.Especially the brave young men who knew what had to be done in spite of threats and harassment from the new police outfit and brutal assaults by paisleyites.
Paisleyites will again be dominating platforms throughout Ulster in a few days time. May those of us who are fit and healthy attend these platforms and tell the traitors never again to appear at an Orange MeetingST.
Well at least the so-called 'pipebomb pastor' wasn't responsible for the murder and mutilation of the Ulster/British people unlike those involved in the DUP/IRA Alliance. These Paisleyites are devious people and like their leader have shown their true colours at last and it seems they are an ever darkening shade of green. For years they spewed out their venom against other Unionists and Loyalists, and true to form they are still spitting hatred against the Ulster people as they show their affection and admiration for Sinn Fein/IRA gunmen and bombers. Funny enough I can't ever remember these Paisleyites physically attacking Sinn Fein/IRA but I suppose they couldn't be seen to fight with their comrades. Like attracts like and they have more in common with PIRA than they have with the rest of us. Perhaps the DUP and IRA have been working together and to the same agenda for years.
"Perhaps the DUP and IRA have been working together and to the same agenda for years."
Try doing some research into;
"thesis, antithesis, synthesis."
It will not be long before you start to realise who the great exponents of this concept are.
The following is a report of Sunday's protest at The Diamond.it was written by a liberal Presbyterian and was taken out of the hands of his colleague who was more than happy to do us justice
Paisley heckled at Diamond gospel rally
AROUND 30 people staged a vociferous protest at the Diamond Gospel Rally on Sunday night when former Free Presbyterian Moderator Ian Paisley was the guest speaker.
Dr Paisley largely ignored the group who shouted words like “Traitor!”, “Lundy!” and “Eli!” - and made remarks about his political partnership with Deputy First Minister Martin McGuinness - as he arrived and during his sermon.
Between 300 and 400 Paisley supporters attended the event which has been held beside Dan Winter’s Cottage near Loughgall for the past 43 years. It was originally organised by Craigavon councillor, the late Ronnie Williamson, and has been continued by his widow, Mrs Gladys Williamson.
Dr Paisley’s sermon was heard above those of the protestors, as his voice was amplified by a loud speaker system, and the police circled them and kept them well away from the platform.
There were verbal exchanges between some of the Paisley supporters and the protestors, and a PSNI officer threatened to arrest one of the 30 “for breach of the peace”. Other than that, it was loud but there were no serious incidents.
The rally was conducted by the Rev Kenneth Elliott, minister of Bethany Free Presbyterian Church, Portadown, and musical items were by Ballytyrone Accordion Band, Michael Briggs and the Bethany Singers.
sad
Both Dr Paisley and Mr Elliott admonished the protestors, saying it was “sad that anyone would try to interrupt the preaching of the Word” and that it wasn’t the way to keep themselves right with God.
But a spokesman for the protestors claimed: “For the most part, our protest was dignified - part verbal, part silent, and the fact that we were chastised from the platform for daring to voice opinions contrary to Dr Paisley’s smacks of denying us free speech.
“Pro-Paisley Free Presbyterians were brought in from all over the place. There’s a schism in their church and they’re trying to deny it.”
The Paisley supporters included local DUP politicians and MLAs, and one of them commented: “It’s a disgrace interrupting the Word of God like that. People should be free to preach and teach without that sort of diatribe. If a Roman Catholic priest was up there, I wouldn’t interrupt him. It’s terrible treating an 82-year-old man like that.”
But the protestors’ spokesman claimed that Dr Paisley had propagated politics from the Diamond platform “virtually every year, and it is significant that he hasn’t done so over the past two”.
Conversely, pro-Paisley politicians at the rally claimed that some of the protesters “had travelled quite a distance to snipe at Dr Paisley in what is purely a religious service”.
After the singing of the national anthem, the meeting broke up, and police said there were no trouble afterwards
Who then is this mystic, mythical figure known as clifford peeples who appears to attract the venomous hate of every unclean bird in the cage? First he is NOT a pervert, child abuser, mass murderer or traitor. Like the rest of us he has his faults. But he is a sinner Saved by Grace. Loves The Lord and his country.
Clifford is a true patriot, evangelical Protestant and has worked extremely hard for the Cause of Ulster.
The slings and arrows of perverse paisleyites just bounce off him; like water off a duck's back.
It's noteworhy that Mr. Peeples attackers never accuse the arch traitor and his fellow travellers. Nor do they ever utter a word against the mass murderer who rules over them.
it is pretty rich for the pro-terrorist DUP to whinge about people disrupting religious services in order to make a protest.
Paisley and the FPC have done so many times - why is it therefore wrong for others to do so?
I don't think Paisley has much to do with preaching the gospel these days, all it is is a flesh fest where Paisley's canon-fodder and other donkeys gather to indulge in the antics of their fast diminishing personality cult. As far as the great and the good and the new DUP fur coat brigade are concerned, they drop him like a hot potato the moment he is no further use to them.
By the way, why are they whinging about the presence of Clifford Peebles. He has attended EIPS lectures in the past (another project of Paisleys that is now more or less defunct). He also attended anti-agreement functions along with DUP officials. Willie McCrea shared a platform with Billy Wright. Paisley has had his fair share of close affiliations with loyalist paramilitarism, as has some of his ministers (especially prior to their conversions) and councillors.
After all, he and his cronies are associating with the IRA everyday. What then is the big deal about Clifford Peebles? Or are they just morally offended by Protestant terrorists?
Why so the DUP lackeys so offended at Clifford Peebles but they call Martin MacGuinness their 'good friend'.
Paisley and the DUP are hypocrites, they are becoming morality-free zones. The unionist voters of Ulster have memories, brain cells and other things that make 'the holy family' (Ian and Co.) break into a cold sweat.
I really hope that big Ian's vanity and desire to manipulate his own way is sufficient enough to get North Antrim DUP to agree to put him forward as their candidate at the next Westminster election.
I really hope so, because if he stands in North Antrim he is going to get destroyed in the election - his treasured seat will be gone. I want him and his ego to have to stand there at the count and receive the utter humiliation he so richly deserves.
That is Paisley's achiles heel - he ego. This is where the unionist voters of Ulster need to avenge themselves.
If Paisley is 'the Lord's anointed', then surely that means that ONeil,Thatcher,Major etc were too. Why did he attack them then? You see......more lies, more inconsistencies, more contradictions.
I'm not an UUP man, but if the UUP have any brains they will strike no pact with the DUP. The DUP want a pact with the UUP for the same reason they had agreements and working relationships with Vanguard and other parties - ultimately they want to destroy any party that they go into coalition or pacts or agreements with. If Empty has any brains, and I don't think that he does, he'll tell Paisley and Co to get lost. At the end of the day, they shouldn't be so desperate for a seat that they're prepared to sell their souls.
And then there's Kincora.....They say that more information is coming out all the time. I'm sure Ian will be watching this space very intently.
He says that republicans are defeated and signed up to the rule of law - why then are they so defeated and in fear of the law that they were able to freely run amuck in the field at Rasharkin battering Protestants with hurly sticks and Paisley's police force were unable to stop them (I'm sure they'd have been able if those responsible for the attacks had been Protestants). Welcome to Ian Paisley's constituency under Big Ian's new political dispensation.
It is a shame that some of Big Ian's donkeys from the Diamond, who wanted to get physical, weren't in the field at Rasharkin, then they could have fought the IRA........oh no, they couldn't do that. The IRA are now their 'good friends' and the DUP donkeys in question are cowards anyway.
i bet you feel better after getting that off your chest,
Yes , I would with the webmaster's forbearance leave a comment or two.
First of all, there are no paisleyites from The Diamond area Up to two years ago there were. But not anymore!
Bussed in from Belfast, Portadown, Lisburn, Fivemiletown and east of Lurgan from around seven o'clock, the paisleyites were ready for action. But left humiliated after the meeting.
